JAMB REGISTRATION 2023

This is another year for all prospective undergraduates to apply for 2023/2024 Jamb Registration, to get themselves into the university of their choice.

It has been announced that the registration will commence on Thursday, the 8th of April, and ends on Saturday the 15th of May 2023.

And I believed that all young Nigerians whose hope is to gain admission are ready to follow the guidelines attached to JAMB registration. Most importantly, do not forget to have gotten your National Identification Number (NIN) as it has been made compulsory for this year’s Jamb Registration.

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration for the 2023 academic year has begun, according to JAMB.

All prospective candidates must have their National Identity Number (NIN) at the point of registration, according to a statement released by the FCT’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocols, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday in Bwari.

Important Notice

“It is appropriate to participate in the registration exercise in 2023.”

  • The list is available in all JAMB state offices and on its website at www.jamb.gov.ng.
  • Registration will take place in 700 locations throughout the country.
  • According to the approved registration and review schedule, registration will begin on Thursday, April 8, and end on Saturday, May 15, 2023.
  • Candidates should also be aware that Direct Entry applicants will be able to register at the same time as UTME candidates.
  • The selling of the UTME or DE application documents will not be extended in any way.
  • For those who show interest and register before April 24, a mock review will be held on Friday, April 30.

UTME Examination Date

He reported that the UTME will be held from Saturday, June 5 to Saturday, June 19, 2023.

The examination will take place at any of the centers in the candidate’s chosen examination town, according to the statement.

Guidelines on how to Get Registered  for 2023 Jamb Registration

There are a few documents that must be submitted before we can begin the JAMB 2023 registration process, which includes:

  • Create your JAMB profile with your personal e-mail address and mobile phone number.
  • – Pay for your JAMB ePIN registration at any accredited CBT center with your personal information, profile, and proof of payment.
  • – The prescribed reading text and the CD containing: are provided free of charge by the CBT centers or the JAMB State Office.

a An e-brochure with admissions criteria, including a list of tertiary institutions and study programs.
b)  The examination syllabus (e-syllabus).
c)  Step-by-step instructions for filling out the application form.
d)  A video message from the Registrar of JAMB, as well as a demonstration of how to take the UTME test without using a mouse, using just eight (8) buttons. (For candidates who have no experience with computers.)
e). Each Applicant must complete the online application form by providing all necessary information, including name, e-mail address, L.G.A., academic qualifications, and so on.
f)  The Candidate’s ten fingers biometric and image will be collected and submitted at the CBT centers.
g)  Candidates must have their O/L and/or A/L grades. Candidates who are waiting for their results can submit them online as soon as they are available on the JAMB website.
h)  At the close of registration, each Candidate must collect his e-slip as proof of registration.

It reported that from April 5, more information about the registration processes and specifications will be available on JAMB’s official website, as well as in the electronic and print media.

On the 13th of February 1978, the Federal Military Government promulgated the Act (No. 2 of 1978) that established the Board. The Federal Executive Council revised Decree No. 2 of 1978 by August 1988. Since then, the changes have been codified in Decree No. 33 of 1989, which went into effect on December 7, 1989. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board were given authority by Decree No. 2 of 1978 (as amended by Decree No. 33 of 1989) to:

(a) Administer Matriculation Exams for admission to all Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education (under whatever name they are known).

(b) nominate Examiners, Moderators, Invigilators, members of Subject Panels and Commissions, and other individuals in connection with matriculation exams and all other matters incidental or related thereto.

(c) after considering the following factors, position suitably eligible candidates in tertiary institutions:

I)  the number of openings in each tertiary institution

(ii) the guidelines defined by the proprietors or other competent authorities for each tertiary institution.

(iii) the candidates’ expressed or implied preference for particular tertiary institutions and courses

(iv) any other matters that the Honorable Minister may guide the Board to consider or that the Board itself considers necessary in the circumstances.

(d) collect and disseminate information on all matters relating to tertiary admissions or any other matter relating to the board’s performance of its functions.

(e) participate in all other activities required or sufficient for the complete discharge of all or any of the duties assigned to it by or pursuant to this Decree.
